Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a fee to attend MOPS?
Yes. Our group has a yearly dues of $130 to cover childcare costs, meeting supplies and Mops International dues. We also offer semester options. Come check us out for free on September 9th! Later in the year guests pay $5 for their first meeting after which they can sign up for pro-rated memberships. As we want to welcome all, please talk with a group leader if the cost would prevent you from coming.
I don’t attend Island Church. Can I still come?
YES! Although Mops is a ministry of Island Church, all are invited to attend the meetings, no matter your denomination or church affiliation. We strive to be an open and inviting place where women can come and learn about God through friendships and shared experiences.
My kids are not in preschool yet. Is this group for me?
YES! Don’t let our name throw you. We are a group for all moms going through the early stages of motherhood. If you have little ones anywhere from pregnancy up through kindergarten, we welcome you.
I didn't make it to the start of the year. Can I still come?
